About Me
My story
All my life, I strived to embody myself in art and tried to improve myself in it. Drawing at the age of six started my journey. Following that, I joined a theater school, and by the time I turned thirteen, I started making animations. Born and spent a significant part of my life in the picturesque city of Kyiv, Ukraine. However, compelled by the large-scale war in 2022, I relocated to Cologne, Germany. Pursuing studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) as a media artist and 2D animator currently.
Exploring various traditional techniques and combining different media, such as stop-motion, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and digital 2D animation, fuels my passion for art. My primary goal, above all, is to support Ukraine through my creativity, narrate our culture, and present a unique perspective from within.
Achievements in animation encompass creating a music video using stop-motion techniques and documentary filming on the lives of refugees in Germany.
My family remains in Ukraine, actively volunteering and defending our homeland. Even from a distance, I strive to find ways to contribute. Assisting non-Ukrainian filmmakers in showcasing the ruins in Ukraine, including villages like Bucha and Borodianka through motion graphics, and organizing a solidarity event in Cologne on February 24th to shed light on how culture transforms during times of war.
At present, my first animated film is completed, and I am eagerly looking forward to sharing this story. A constant source of inspiration, my unyielding desire to create art that reflects the world around us, and excitedly anticipating new challenges and opportunities that art will bring into my life.
